How SMS consent works

ChiaTurn is a salon-management product operated directly by QT Technology Service LLC. ChiaTurn sends informational messages only after the recipient makes the choice described below. SMS is optional and consent is recorded separately for each message type.

Appointment confirmations

During booking or while updating an appointment, salon staff reads the disclosure below and asks the customer whether they agree. Staff records a clear verbal yes by selecting the unchecked SMS option in ChiaTurn. Staff leaves the option unchecked if the customer declines or does not answer yes.

QT Technology Service LLC uses ChiaTurn to send appointment confirmations and reminders for this salon. Message frequency varies with your bookings and the salon's reminder settings. Checkout receipts

After checkout, a customer may actively select SMS as the receipt delivery method. The choice is not preselected. The checkout screen displays this disclosure:

Employee daily earnings summaries

After clock-out, an employee may open the authenticated Daily earnings panel and select this unchecked consent:

The panel links to the Privacy Policy and SMS Terms. Only the employee may change this consent. A manager cannot opt in for an employee. The employee can use the panel without consenting, and declining SMS does not affect employment, time records, earnings, or payroll.
